Starting A Christian Asmr channel on YouTube

 

So you've been wanting to start your YouTube channel for some time now ? But, Not just any channel. A Christian Asmr Channel. Well first, what is ASMR? Asmr stands for autonomous sensory meridian response, which means it's a trigger or a combination of triggers that creates a rush of gentle tingling and stimulation from the scalp going down your spine to your limbs. It's a calming sensation which can cause you to relax and even fall asleep. My first experience with ASMR was when I was a child, maybe in the 2nd or 3rd grade, and usually it was during the time I would be taking a test when the whole class was quiet and the students would be talking inaudibly while trying to find the answer, or when the teacher would help me with solving the answer on my paper, and she would come and erase the problem I put down and then blow the eraser crumbs away. "Haha" you're probably thinking that's SO WEIRD but so true. I never knew what the "tingling feeling" was that I got in my scalp and my body for a long time until my adult years. Maybe at the age of 19 was when I found out about Asmr. Actually.. Quick funny story. There was a night when I couldn't sleep, and I went to search on YouTube for something to help with sleep. So I started searching and scrolling, and a lady popped up by the name of Gentle Whispering. I didn't know what she was doing, but the title of her video said "Help you sleep", I believe. So I clicked on it and was wondering what the Heck this was and kept watching it and started liking it. Well, that liking turned into watching it all the time and I became addicted. At the time, I was watching her channel faithfully. A little while after that, I started wondering how to make an Asmr channel and just started practicing some of the techniques like (hand movements, inaudible whispering, tapping, etc...) on my phone with some headphones that had a built-in mic. I was so excited and really wanted to make a channel, but also was so nervous and my mind kept replaying thoughts in my head like (what if nobody watches it, what if I'm no good, Blah Blah Blah..) all of these negative thoughts were filling my mind, but I pressed my way and begin to make an asmr channel. Now at the time, it was just a regular Asmr channel. At that time, my walk with God was on and off, and I was dabbling in and out of churches, so I wasn't really thinking of noone but myself on this channel. I wasn't really focused on the impact of the channel or how I could help someone. Let's get to the short story, "Jesus had to do a complete 360 on me and turn me around for HIS GOOD and HIS PURPOSE". That is when my change began and my channel happened, and with the Calling by the Lord, he told me through my spouse to make a Christian Asmr channel. I instantly fell in love with it, and I mean "INSTANTLY", and 3 years later I never once looked back. While I wanted to share my short story with you, I also wanted to include some equipment that I currently and faithfully use for my channel. This is equipment that I've been using since the start of my channel and now. You can never go wrong with this equipment and so far, before the change of the channel and now, I only had to replace 1 mic. I'm talking maybe 6 years of having my channel before and now. Its amazing, so with that being said, here is the list of equipment I use for my channel and is guaranteed to have for many years.

It's important to be yourself with your channel and have fun doing it. Make videos that express who you are and can bring a comfortable safe space for your viewers. Even if you just have 1 viewer, try to engage with that 1 viewer. See what the viewer/s want to watch. Just have fun and create. What extremely helps me is to remember that the christian Asmr channel is for the Glory of the lord. It's a channel of Love and humility.
